We are in the Gloucester Road, quarter of a mile north of the Arches, between Somerfield and La Ruca, opposite the Post Office and Art@Bristol.

Is one of a number of bookshops around the UK selling secondhand books and Amnesty trading goods and cards, to raise funds for human rights organisation Amnesty International UK

Books for Amnesty Bristol opened more than 10 years ago and since then, thanks to the hard work of an enthusiastic team of volunteers, and to the generosity of the people of Bristol in donating (and buying) books, it has gone from strength to strength.  We are now an established part of the Bishopston scene, known as one of the best (and friendliest!) bookshops in the West of England.

Opening Hours

10 a.m - 4 p.m. Monday—Friday

11 a.m - 5 p.m. Saturday

As well as a huge and ever-changing stock of good quality secondhand books, we also sell sheet music, CD's, records and videos, together with Amnesty goods, such as T-shirts, diaries, calendars, mugs, cards and candles. 

We also sell books on the Internet, through ABE Books, and Ebay, and attend the Bristol Book Fairs reqularly.
